Cello designed this mount to allow for proper viewing height in an outdoor barbeque area, even though the architectural design called for a very high mantle. To meet the aesthetic for the space, the TV had to be flat to the wall, so along with being out door rated, the mount had to be ‘zero clearance’; adding no depth to the TV when it was in the up and stowed position. The mount also carries a custom left/center/right speakerbar for the 7.0 surround sound system. To simplify use, we designed the mount without any latching hardware, completely balancing the TV, speaker and mechanism so that it could be brought down or put up with one hand. In addition to the waterproof TV, the barbeque area features a complete surround sound system and waterproof remote controls. This system is one of ten complete surround sound systems Cello installed in the residence, which also includes a world class movie screening room. Cello automated the entire house using AMX and Lutron control systems and provided state of the art audio, security and communications systems.
