The Reference Digital to Analog Converter
The
Cello Reference Digital to Analog Converter (RDAC) is a fully featured,
20 bit high-resolution converter offering the finest quality reproduction
from digital sources. It has been engineered to meet the requirements
of the most demanding professional recording engineer, music lover and
film devotee.
The impressive engineering
includes the exclusive consumer product implementation of the UV-22
Super CD encoding/decoding system. This is a process by which resolution
of low level detail is possible below the noise floor of a 16-bit system.
All currently available digital sources are compatible with the UV-22
process and will benefit from its incorporation into this product.
The main analog
section is derived from the output modules of the Cello Audio Suite.
Only an analog stage of this quality could properly complement and justify
the design and manufacturing superiority of the digital section of the
RDAC.
The RDAC has six
(6) digital inputs: four (4) AES/EBU via XLR connectors and two (2)
SPDIF via RCA connectors.
Three (3) pairs
of analog outputs are provided, one (1) each via balanced Fischer connectors,
balanced XLR connectors, and single-ended RCA connectors.
